Free AI medical scribes, and their limits

Free plans differ in what they leave out, such as EHR integration, templates or session length; the table lists each one. Some EHRs also include an AI scribe in the subscription, which can make a separate scribe unnecessary.

Is a free AI scribe safe to use with patients?
Look for two things before recording a visit: whether the vendor signs a business associate agreement (BAA) on the free plan, and what happens to the audio after the note is written. Both are listed on each scribe's page where the vendor publishes them. This is not legal advice; check your own obligations, including patient consent rules in your state.
